Studio Work The studio continues to provide the opportunity for regular practice of spontaneous light art. In addition Bill with Jim Lowe, his music director and T. Scott Sayre, his art assistant, are now in the production of the 1st of a series of video recordings. These recordings endeavor, paradoxically to introduce the public at large to the beauty of Bill Ham's Live Action Painting.

Practice Live spontaneous performance remains at the center of Bill's work. As Bill says "I have invented this new way to paint and I have been practicing it ever since - When I say practice I mean it as in "Buddhist practice", Martial Arts practice" - something that is at the core of your being.

This necessity for the regular practice of his art has compelled Bill to construct and maintain several studios. His studio for the past twenty years has been on Pine Street, directly across the street from where it all began.

Live Performance Bill Ham is offering a limited edition of site specific live action painting performances for which Jim Lowe is the musical director. These site specific performances are determined by the scale and site of the event and its audience.

These are:

1) Rear projection 100 to 300 people in a pitch black quiet, meditative environment with live music

2) Rear projection 500 to 600 people in an auditorium setting, with live music.

3) Performance Light Show/Dance A large scale architectural Light Sound immersion with live music in an open space, large projection surfaces and appropriate sound and light equipment.
